FWIW, John Kerry has never retracted his opposition to gay marriage that he trumpeted in the 2004 presidential campaign. He’s never explicitly said, “I am in favor of gay marriage.”

What about it, Senator Kerry. Care to clarify your stance on the issue? Are you going to pull some crap like, “I disapprove of gay marriage, but, as long as it’s the law in my state, I’ll defend it”?

You can’t have your cake and eat it, too. Pick a position!

Oh my God, that story could have been us. Luckily my partner from Brasil was granted asylum. After reading this story I started to shake realizing just how lucky we are. I would really like to sue the United States for making my boyfriend chose either his relationship or his country. It’s such a shame that he now needs to become a US citizen in order for us to maintain our relationship. It’s been over 3 years since he’s been home and he needs to see his mother and his family. He gets depressed and it’s no wonder. It’s so maddening.

Won’t this be a nice snapshot of what the Obama adm. will be like for us. And even if it is in this couples favor it still doesn’t help anyone else but them. They are legally married in Mass. what else does the govn. need to know?

I fully agree. This judge needs to be removed from the bench, or at the very least censured. It is appalling that any judge could conceive that a rape victim was not physically harmed.

Shame on you, Judge Cramer!

Thank you John Kerry for taking up this cause. I really hope these two get to be together in the U.S. It is so unfair that hard working tax paying U.S. citizens are treated unequally because of the piece of Hate that is DOMA.
