The best social research we have to date does not support this. This research is finding that the children of gay people are heterosexual and homosexual at the same rate as those children raised by heterosexual people.

That’s why we need to base law and public policy on science and ethics, not on a set of fables and on “gut instinct.” When you’re homophobic to begin with, your “gut instincts” are going to point you toward more homophobia.

Religion, in its need to maintain power has mandated a certain type of family that in turn OBEYS and TITHES. We don’t fit into that…and we challenge religion in another way: Our being OUT is a threat to the closeted leadership.

If we are so happy, why should gay priests stay in the closet?…well, they might not, and then who would they have to do their dirty work.

These defense of religion posts are an insult to the otherwise more educated and more aware gay community who has had to figure out more about themselves at an earlier age and thus comes into this world with eyes wide open. How can we have religion in that context?????

Homosexuality has been documented in over 100 species besides man. There is even documented inter-species affection involving dolphins. It is a shame that “dumb unintelligent animals” don’t bother to do their research before posting.

The case of nuns/priests is another kettle of fish. Where in the Bible are they commanded to be celibate? Who does not know that many of them burn in lust and are paedeophiles?

The case of sterile heterosexual couples adopting children is understandable. What is difficult to stomach is the case of men with men and women with women practising a sexual relationship that dumb unintelligent animals would not even deign to practice.

Just because you do not participate in procreation does not mean that you do not believe in it.
