Let’s put the “happy” back in “gay” and become swing voters! Let’s switch – parties to become independents. Do not send money to Obama or anyone until change has come. Write, call, and organize! Get local glbt neighbors elected! Obama is like a bad boyfriend!

I too received a plea for money from Obama’s organization this AM. Here is what I sent them. Perhaps taking the gloves off is the only way.

Sirs:

Considering Mr. Obama’s latest legal Motion (in the case of Arthur Smelt and Christopher Hammer) regarding his Administration’s position on DOMA and his cowardly attempts
to continue the Republican-style bashing of American LGBT’s struggle to secure constiutionally gauranteed rights, form this day forward I will no
longer be supporting Mr. Obama, the Democratic Party or any other morally bankrupt Liar.

To say that my Legal Gay Marriage is unconstitutional on a federal level because it is no better than Incest or Child Rape is the last straw.

I expect that from Michael Savage or Pat Robertson. Not from a Democrat. And certainly NOT from Mr. Obama.

To wit:

I defended Mr. Obama’s Honor to all family, friends and enemies over the ridiculous issue of Birth Certificates.
I defended Mr. Obama’s Honor to all family, friends and enemies over the ridiculous issue of Reverend Wright’s Cataclysmic Comments.
I defended Mr. Obama’s Honor to all family, friends and enemies over the ridiculous issue questioning his personal religiosity.
I defended Mr. Obama’s Honor to all family. friends and enemies over the ridiculous issue of his supposed association with ‘Larry Sinclair’.
I defended Mr. Obama’s Honor to all family, friends and enemies over the ridiculous issue of his Race.

And in return?

I sat quietly while Mr. Obama courted Rick Warren at the expense of the LGBT community.
I sat quietly while Mr. Obama filled his cabinets with Bush Era cronies.
I sat quietly while Mr. Obama reneged on his promise to end “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, DON’T PURSUE”
I sat quietly while Mr. Obama gave away trillions of unaccounted-for tax payer dollars to the same Billionaires who financially raped this country over the past 20 years.
I sat quietly while Mr. Obama retreated on his promises on Iraq, Guantanamo.
I sat quietly while Mr. Obama sold out the American People’s desperate need for Single Payer Health Care Insurence.

And now Mr. Obama expects me to sit quitely while he compares me and my husband to Child-Raping Criminals?

To rub salt into the wounds, YOU want me to pay for that privilage.

Are you out of your minds?

Without the LGBT vote in 2012, Mr Obama will fall short of clinching a victory.

I have no choice but to pull my support from Mr. Obama. I will make it a point to campaign against him and do everything in my power to alert as many in the LGBT community as I can to ensure that
Mr. Obama does not get re-elected, nor any incumbent democrat who thinks that Mr. “Change You Can Count On” has lived up to his word.

What do they say in Tennessee…uh…Texas? “Fool me once, shame on you…Fool me…You won’t get fooled again…”

Gosh, that sounds like advice from the world’s smartest man right about now.

Excellent letter, Joe. I wrote one myself today when an email from Obama appeared in my inbox asking for a contribution. I replied that I would not be giving money to him or to any other democrats after to DOMA insult. I will let all my democrat officials know that I will write no checks until this is made right.

I’m a gay Canadian who keeps abreast of on-going GBLT issues in the U.S.
It pains me that a powerful and leading nation such as yours still discriminates, hates and refuses to admit your humanity and equality. How shameful that in our own nation we can enjoy basic rights and freedoms that U.S. citizens cannot.

I agree. This is a very well thought out letter to the President. One has to remember our Leadders will say anything to get what they want. Once they have it, then they forgot what was said to be elected. Do you think the Black population would be where they are at today by letter writting. I think they be still in the back of the bus.
Some day we will have to stand up for what we want. We need to be in their face, every day, every hour. Instead we hide who we are. Where happy with the grumbs given us. We will never get anything the way things are. Need to March to the White House, to the Senate, Congress, don’t say please. Demand our rights as Americans. If they refuse, drag them into court. Time up the courts with thousands of cases. Force these do gooders to lisen. We are tired of this bull an are not going to take it anymore. If the Iran people can stand up to their Goverment. WHY Can’t We………

This actually shocked me I’m not sure why but it did. I have been on the fence for quite a while now still thinking if my husband and i should contribute anymore money to the administation,this convinced me that right now isnt the time for us to be giving our money to any of these guys. They take our gay dollars willingly and use them for what,hate crime prevention (maybe) healthcare (maybe)putting an end to dont ask dont tell(maybe)Employee non discrimination(maybe)but he cant stand up and apologize to the LGBT people. Our children hear that crap too who’s protecting them from discrimination certainly not Obama who is making sure that they have all the rights to recieve the social security that my husband and i pay into not obama besides my tax dollars foot just as much of the bill as anyone elses and it helps pay his damn salary my family worked hard to elect the first black president and if he doesnt put up i’ll work hard to get him out too
