How many billions have been poured into the HIV research industry? In the early 90s, when I worked in virology, I still remember the people working in the HIV labs taking long lunches and clocking the 7 to 4 shifts...perhaps we need more people who have been impacted by HIV to get into the research fields, and let's get someone with HIV to run the governmental funding toward research. We need a better sense of urgency...a cure/vaccine for HIV will lead to cures/vaccines for other similar viruses! Why have we not found a vaccine that works, yet?
