It's so sad (and frightening) that there are no "Rs" in that list. They really have lost touch with reality.

However, I agree with Daniel in Missouri. I've already set my email edits to send Obama-mail and MoveOn mail to go directly to trash.

This is an intriguing idea. It looks as if it would be a nice, interim step. That would buy us some time to pass ENDA, which a lot of experts say would help to set the stage for ending DADT (the military brass are making the argument that, if it's legal to kick people out of their jobs in most states for being gay, then the military shouldn't end DADT...the military does not want to "lead" in this area, from a national-policy point of view).

Smell the coffee yet, Obama?

Like in wake up and realize that your fellow citizens need the same equality they have in other countries.

Obama is a pot-smoking fuckwit for giving us just 2 out of 1,167 rights that are currently denied under DOMA.

NOT HAPPY OBAMA!!!! [thats my new activist slogan]

I had an idea 2 days ago when I passed this 2 pieces of law myself (remember I make my own laws, two can play that game Obama). I passed the:

OBAMA MARRIAGE BAN ACT 2009

(i) "President Obama's marriage must not be recognised with the gay community, if any marriage is banned for gays, then it must be banned for straights as well under the laws and Consitution of these United States of America so help me God."

(ii) "all sections, divisions and chapters of both DOMA and DADT is hereby fully repealed."

*Passed 22/6/2009
*Signed 23/6/2009
*Effective from 1 July 2009

Equality Act 2009

(a) "no individual should be discriminated against on the basis of; gender or gender idenity, language, nationality or ethnicity, disability, race or color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, marital or relationship status, economic or social status, family status or history, etc.

*Passed 22/6/2009
*Signed 23/6/2009
*Effective from 1 July 2009

I wrote my representative from So. Dak. and asked her why she didn't sign. Perhaps wasted paper, but I am trying.

This is awesome. I'm guessing these House members know what I was guessing at. It's the Senate who's holding things up.

Thanks to John L. for reminding all of us that there are other countries and other militaries in the world with other rules..and none are suffering substantially either way.

RE: Repeal of DADT 'opening' the marriage question. What repeal of DADT WILL DO is affect ALL 50 STATES! Evenly.
There are gay military families in all 50! It would be a great boost for all military families, friends etc.

Note: Just today we hear that Harvey Milk was kicked out of Navy in l955 for being gay. I personally know many who were gay in Vietnam...and they have stories from WWII etc.

Dan Choi and Anthony Woods were just graduated from Westpoint this decade!

Nothing new here. Just the PAIN level is wrenched up and needed to be 'enlightened'.. Thanks to Dan Choi for starting that this year.

PS: "Dannie" if I guess correctly, have a good time in SF next weekend.
