LOL... muzzle. What an appropriate word for Republicans. When is the GOP going to stop trying to get into our bedrooms? I am sick of them. Republicans can keep their holier than thou hypocrisy to themselves. Leave women's rights alone, leave minorities' rights ALONE.

Ev Dirksen and Tip O'Neill used such moves to "walk the walk" in their day, when Republicans used tactics like the filibuster to "delay, delay, delay, and obstruct, obstruct, obstruct." The GOP used them when they made their Contract With America. It's called parliamentary positioning. The ox gets gored. It's how Washington works.

Anytime any single party is in power, it is a detriment to our society. No matter what the issue, debate is merited. Currently, Democrats hold power in Washington but all things come to an end and there will be a time when Republicans once more control Congress. Stopping debate now is setting a precedent for when that time comes. If one wants to ensure that debate is fair at any point in time then one must begin by observing the rules. Tradition in the U.S. is a form of rule according to the study of Political Science and one Democrats would be wise to observe lest the shoe be on the other foot sometime soon.

Politics as usual...unfortunately. The Right is mad that they lost...the Dem's are fighting amongst themselves...and we as usual are being used as a battering ram...it's time that we stopped donations to either party...time that we stopped doing for others until they do some things for us, such as equal/fair rights! Hit them, the politicians where it hurts the most...their pocketbooks and campaign coffers! The right does not give a flip about Gay marriage --- they are only using us as a tool in their "political games" --- realize this, and we can either accept it or fight for our rights. I for one am tired of the Obama emails asking for Money --- and certainly am not going to support any republican, so...I am not going to donate to anyone until they give us what we deserve.

As a liberal gay Christian, I'd rather have an atheistic Democrat screw-up in charge then one by an oppressive GOP Christian Taliban in charge. The first one I can muddle through where rights might just be around the corner if we are lucky.... the second one.. batten down your hatches and be ready to defend your existing rights!

This is not nearly as bad as the tactics employed by Tom DeLay and Trent Lott when the Republicans were in power!

Bipartisanship is a joke. The way things are may not be ideal but I'd rather have the Democrats f*ck everything up than have the Republicans f*ck it up worse.
