I'm getting sick of the kiss-ins. I understand the point. But please, can we stop trying to get in the face of those who are against us, and actually try to reach out.

Will our straight "allies" be allowed to take place in this as well? Because nothing is more disgusting. A man eating some woman's face off is vulgar.

I checked the list and there is no kiss in in Maryland. My wife and I will be at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore most of the afternoon. Come join us for a KISS.

"We don’t want Christian evangelicals proselytizing out in front of the GLBT bars, restaurants and community centers we visit. So why are we showing them that same kind of disrespect we don’t want?"

Because we aren't condemning them to eternal hellfire, don't degrade them for loving the opposite sex, nor do we try and arrest them simply because we see them kissing out in public.

We don't want Christian evangelicals proselytizing out in front of the GLBT bars, restaurants and community centers we visit. So why are we showing them that same kind of disrespect we don't want?

In San Diego this stupid kiss-in is taking place in front of the Manchester Grand Hyatt, which is being boycotted because owner Doug Manchester donated $125K to Prop. 8. That Manchester boycott keeps popping up in the local news over and over again. Terry Caster, owner of A-1 Self Storage (another San Diego business), gave $693K to Prop. 8 -- over five times as much! So why does Manchester keep getting all the credit / blame? Because local labor unions are doing the PR for this boycott, claiming they're standing with the GLBT community against Manchester, for marriage equality. Truth is, the labor union is boycotting Manchester's hotel for their own reasons and is only using the GLBT community for co-branding and publicity purposes in this boycott.

I agree with the previous post. I am happy to go represent my community. My partner of 15 years and I are out at work and to our families, the world for that matter and we love doing this kind of thing, however there is never enough notice or organization to get the people to come. On Saturday, we will be in a city that only has 1000 people and I know there will be no participation there. Had we known sooner, we would have stayed home and participated. What bothers us about these events is, since there is no advertising or communication amongst us, we look like a small group of unorganized rowdies to the public eye and then they say things like "see only 14 people showed up to attend the rally, etc" so we then like fools as a community. I hope as a group we get better at conveying our message, because currently we look disorganized and frankly not in need of any recognition.

Once again with the horrible coverage. So many "protesty" gays would do something like this, but we never hear about it in time.

I love doing this kind of stuff, but it would be nice to not be taken off guard. But still sounds like fun though!
