GOD made pot MAN made Alcohol, Who do you trust? Considering that Alcholsim is up there on the Addiction Hit Parade, and smoking a Joint can ease pain much better than OXYCOTIN and is far less addictave, just what does the GOP have against a bunch of Stoners gettign together Eating Fluffernutters,pizza icecream or what ever and watching the world go by? I have yet to hear of some one getting stoned off POT and killing some one unless it was laced! Again I say Legalize POT sell it in Something Akin to Liquor stores Have the GOV Raise,& Test it and Lable the Potency and all the money go to bailing out the damn Mess the Bush Admin and the GOP got us into in the First place! POT /HEMP is a Renewable fuel & clothing Source any way. YIKES! I wonder just how many Closet Stoners are out there any way?

I am from Iowa and Senator Grassley is in desparate need of retirement. He has been in office since the Dark Ages and still thinks it is.

All drugs should be legalized and taxed accordingly. Prescriptions should be required for some. Instead of blowing billions of dollars beating at the “War on Drugs”, make them legal and put them to use by providing some income to the government.

Much of the allure will disappear if the drugs are no longer illegal. Marijuana is certainly not as harmful as alcohol and we can buy that everywhere.

“A Republican from Iowa”… Yes, he is a Republican, what would you expect from one.. but, as an Iowan, I can assure you that Iowa is much more liberal than most mid-western states; Iowa has included gays in our anti-discrimination bill, which passed last year, as well as “Safe Schools” which also includes sexual orientation.

Although medical marijuana, is not for everyone,it does help with people affected with HIV/AIDS. I for one have glacoma, hiv+, and experience alot of pain with the meds that I am on for HIV. It is funny how people on here, know all about HIV/AIDS, but don’t do the research on the medical complications. Please do some research before you blast 365gay.com, for posting this. AIDS effects everyone, straight,gay,black,white,latino/a, asians and heterosexuals. This disease effects everyone differently.

What a shame that 265gay.com does not know how to limit their scope to address its niche market.

This is ridiculous.

We (as a country) need to wise up, reform our drug laws, legalize these substances & tax the hell out of them. We would have a huge revenue stream that would pay for a hell of a lot of things in this country. We would also eliminate the criminal element. Mexico would not have the wholesale slaughter of people by the thousands, we would save the billions we waste every year on “The War On Drugs”

I don’t see The Netherlands sinking any lower morally than WE already are because they have legalized drugs.

GOD this country has it’s head up it’s ass!

daVon, don’t hold your breath on DADT under this President. His study of the subject could last another 3 or 4 years. Heck, he may still be studying the subject when he leaves office.
