He's a 17-year-old transgender kid who is very dark skinned African American. Ironically, much of the harassment he gets is from lighter-skinned African American students. But he gets harassed frequently, and just this week he was physically assaulted by a female student while their teacher stood by and acted amused by the "cat fight".
