I myself do not believe in legal marriage for anyone in this country anymore. The laws make lawyers money, fail to protect children, or spouses. Until the marraiges laws are reformed, and a spouse is not held responsible for the conduct of their spouse for financial conduct they can not control, it is too dangerous to marry. That said, equality is equality. If GLBT wants the civil right to marry, so be it.

I agree with you Kyle I am from NEPA also and one of my HUGE frustrations is just getting my gay friends to get involved can be very frustrating and these are couples that want to marry my husband and i married in Mass over a yr ago and are very active in Pennsylvania to achieve marriage rights I am at the end of my rope fighting for these guys and they wont even sign a petition or call our Rep. what is it going to take to get people moving on this stuff we cant set back and hope for the Pres to do it all he needs our help to put pressure on Legislators and with the Democ. Majority that may not last all that long we need to fight hard to get as much done as we can

If there is was one thing that should be taken from the march and rally on Sunday, it is that words and five dollars will get you a cup of coffee. So if anyone woke up energized because Obama is making promises please say something, because I went there energized by his inaction, his inability to pick up a pen, and issue an executive order on DADT. Actions are what count not words. So as many excellent speakers said yesterday, start getting involved and do something, don’t rely on the promises and words of others.

Watching the march on C-SPAN yesterday I could see that the march did accomplish something, I saw a large amount of younger people marching. Which is what we need. The oldsters can’t do everything!
