Chicos didnt show equal rights to those gay men, on the daily theres straight couples in there just making out.I dont get why its crossing the line when two guys kiss. Im not a fan of PDA but damn either inforce it on everyone or not. It cant be whenever the security feels uncomfritable.

Nothing good can come of this. I have seen 'percievably gay' people eating at the restaurant. And I have seen some people who should have been thrown out but weren't. I even saw one of the richest men in El Paso throwing up in the bushes. Maybe I go there too much, but we like to go somewhere after clubbing and you feel safe, even with the 'rent-a-cops'. It's true that people's behaviour borders on anarchy. I work in retail, and if you see someone opening a box and taking something out, you will lose a hand trying to get them to stop. Ever seen a box of 25 band-aids with 20 inside ? You helped an unfortunate family who could not afford a box.

Possibly the most appalling part of this story is not the kissing gay guys nor the homophobic security guards, but instead the responding policeman who had no idea that the "law against homosexual conduct" which he was citing had been struck down by the Supreme Court of the United States six years prior to this incident.
Perhaps we need to publish an update notice for all police bulletin boards which says that it is not illegal for homosexuals to kiss each other in public no matter how much it pisses off the cops or anyone else seeing it happen.

Morgan, get a life. Did you not read the comments of the people who live in El Paso. The straights that kiss and pet can stay, the gays get kicked out. Double standard. A kiss in as Menstruator suggests is appropriate given the separate unequal treatment.

Just encourage people to boycott that place so they may close down within 2 months...plain and simple.

Menstruator,
You should be reclusive, the world would be a better place if you were, you are too repulsive and too trashy to be seen in public.

If I see people all over each other in a restaurant or other public place, I will turn around and leave, don't care if they are gay or straight. I find that extremely unappetizing and revolting.

I am used to people conducting themselves like proper ladies and gentlemen, sitting upright and eating their meals like mature adults and with them showing respect for other patrons. Heavy petting and heavy kissing belong in the privacy of a home.

Whoa!! I'm from El Paso and I am reading some very general and negative statements about this great city. These comments are just as ignorant as the security guards but on opposite sides of the pendulum. We have gay rights supporters in this city and like any other city we also have those who are "still in progress." Please be careful about making generalizations about one incident. And by the way, to the comment about going to Chico's after a night of heavy drinking...again a small percentage of the guests fall into that category. I have never seen anyone there behaving in a drunken manner.
