We ALL have two sides to our life, and whether we see those sides as reality versus illusion, truth versus lie, in the closet versus out of the closet, conservative right versus liberal left, just to name a few, it is the exposure of those that throw stones from one extreme side or the other that feed the fires of divide and conquer.

While ‘truth’ is far more likely to be found somewhere in the middle, divide and conquer keeps us fighting over ‘moral/morality’ issues based entirely on ‘Biblical Law’, with ‘God’ being the law of the land, versus the true ‘moral/morality’ where ‘we the people’ hold the inalienable right’s of our democratic republic, whereby our ‘Constitutional/Bill of Rights Law’ ALWAYS stands as the common middle ground for one and all… and truth be known, neither of the opposing sides could exist without.

The question being asked should be is whether Adams ‘lie’ is/was based entirely on Biblical morality, of which ‘God’ is said to be the one that will determine the fate of the ‘liar’, versus our Constitutional law whereby one must actually break a law, and even then is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Adams did not break a law, as the unnamed ‘teenager’ is/was NOT a ‘victim’ that either has been or currently is charging Adams with a ‘crime’. The unnamed ‘teenager’ was of LEGAL age of CONSENT at the time the CONSENTUAL sex occurred, regardless of the age difference of the two CONSENTUAL ADULTS at the time. Adams has NOT ‘lied’ under oath, nor has Adams fraudulently ‘lied and/or intentionally concealed’ an issue pertinent to a legal contract, so again, no law was broken, no illegal act was committed, therefore their is no basis for a ‘legal’ charge of ‘lying’ that could lead to legal charge, let alone prosecution.

Simply put, Adams, like all the rest of us, looked at the source of the charge in 2007, and knew it was best that he ‘conceal’ the truth from that source. As long as no law has been broken, Adams has every right to his private life, of which he has EVERY right to conceal and protect as he sees fit. ALL of us, including Adams, carries his/her own right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as an INALIENABLE right, and it makes little or no difference what the religious right says, or what the Bible says for that matter, ‘we the people’ continue to have INALIENABLE right’s that remain INALIENABLE !!!

Sadly for all of us, what constitutes ‘Journalism’ these days, continues to spiral off the cliff of sensationalizing the Police blotter and/or playing the morality police for the likes of Falwell, Robertson, Dobson, etc., etc., or the scandal of the likes of Ted Haggard, Jim & Tammy Baker, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swaggart, etc., etc., or the scandal of the political figures like Larry Craig, etc., etc., … yet, where is the media on the real issues most pertinant to the survival of the planet, and therefore mankind ? Where is the media with issues like the Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, Torture, FISA, Enron/Harkin, etc., etc., … don’t EVEN talk to me about the MORAL FAILINGS of Adams, or how his ‘lying’ somehow even should be an issue, let alone one that determines his ability to do his job, let alone question his RIGHT to have his job as a ‘Gay Mayor’ !!! … and why does the title of this article use the word ‘affair’… was Adams ‘married’ at the time ??? If the KKK asked you a question, whereby your right to life was determined by your answer, would it be a ‘lie’ or a ‘concealment’ if you chose to save your own life, and what would it matter what the truth was or whose truth it was if you knew death was the only other alternative ???

These attacks on Sam Adams are 100% anti-gay. The whole reason he lied was because the haterosexual and gay enforcers of haterosexual oppression public would not accept a dating gay man.

Where were the cries of resignation for David Paterson who acknowledges shortly after he became Governor of New York that he and his wife have an open marriage?

I think that may be classified as TMI and I am willing to bet that he did!
