Loading ...Gay marriage opponents rally in Fresno

(Fresno, Calif.) Hundreds of people are gathering at Fresno City Hall in support of a statewide ban on same-sex marriage – a day after thousands marched in the area against the ban.
Religious leaders in the Fresno area addressed the rally on Sunday in support of Proposition 8, the voter-approved measure that restricts nuptials to a union between a man and a woman.People attending the rally wore T-shirts and held signs that read “Still standing in the middle for marriage.”
About a dozen counter-protesters shouted as former Fresno Mayor Alan Autry addressed the crowd, chanting “Shame on you!”
Nearly a dozen conservative groups planned a similar rally in San Diego.
An article in the LA Times quoted one of their “religious leaders” as saying they are “following god in this march.” I have no argument with that considering that their god is a god created by man in the image of man. Could you expect anything less. Their god is a straight muff diver so where is the surprise?
Is anyone interested in putting together a state constitution prop that will remove the state tax exemption for all church property in California? It wouldn’t be an amendment, just a tweak like the state supreme court stated prop H8 was. Once it was reported how many billions the state would gain in tax it was probably be approved by over 80% of the voters, including many of the bible bangers.
Dare I say the pendulum swings in our favour, justice and equal rights must and will be ours!
Awww the little right wing monkeys want to imitate us. Isn’t that cute? Maybe some day they will learn from us about concepts like tolerance and peace. If they observe us long enough, their primate brains just might be able to catch on.
