I heard over NBC, CBS that this bill passed and has already been signed by the governer. It will take effect in January of 2010.

198-176 The House passes the marriage equality bill!! There is no ballot procedure for voter referendum in NH. The Legislature would have to pass a bill to put it on the ballot to revoke gay marriage or send it to the voters – and after all we’ve been through that ain’t going to happen any time soon.

Not funny David! I could have sworn they said 198-176. At first I was afraid because 198 is less than 200 (400 total members in the House). It did pass thank god. Here is the status of it:

The NH House of Representatives just passed the bill and voted not to reconsider the vote. So it passed.

Now, it goes to the governor, who has promised to sign in now that it contains his quarky religious exclusion clauses.
