These gay and lesbian words were censored for Asia, not for the USA.
many Asian governments are conservative and don’t want those words to be broadcast into their lands.

This really isn’t that big of a shock. Everytime we get good news there is always something that ruins it. A great example was California allowing gay marriage, and then we ended up getting Prop. 8. I may only be 16 years old, but living my life through high school as one of the only openly gay students at my school, I rarely get any abuses. If I do its only verbal. So how is it that every time I come onto 365gay I always read about the worst in the world, and about everyone that hates us? Why are there never articles on ways we could be fixing these problems?

I watched the Oscar live in Taiwan and totally expected them to censor any word related to gay or lesbian. MTV Taiwan also censored Kate Perry’s lyrics “I kissed a BEEP and I like it” during the rerun of MTV Europe Award or something like that. Freedom of speech today is actually worse than four years ago…
