Don’t become lulled into a false sense of security because Al was sworn in to give the Dems a 60 filibuster-proof advantage. Beware of Arlen Specter….a very conservative former republican who doesn’t support marriage equality either, whereas Al most certainly does. Beware also of independent Joe Lieberman who often caucuses with democrats but often votes for the other side, a professional spoiler.

Well, he was an incredible comedian and a biting, hard-hitting commentator with a sense of humor . . . I only hope he’s half as good a Senator.

Then again, I had hopes Obama would be everything he was cracked up to be rather than the crackpot he’s become.

Then again . . . six months does not a term make. I still have hope, although it is quickly dimming. Perhaps with Franken helping? I guess we’ll see. I still can’t shake the feeling that we have a wolf in sheep’s clothing in the White House.

As I’ve said before: I’d rather have an honest enemy rather than a dishonest friend.

Congratulations to Senator Franken and to the people of Minnesota for finally regaining full representation in the Senate. President Obama, it would be appreciated if you would now proceed to move faster. No excuses.

Gay equality? Democrats?
They don’t belong in the same sentence.
For all the bluster and hot air coming out of Washington when it comes to equality – they all should just build some turbines on the White House and Congress lawns, and open up all of their windows – at least they would get something done regarding energy…..

we need to have equal rights as Americans. In the Constitution doesn’t it say “All men are created equal”, so let’s make that statement stand true. We are all Americans, African American, Latino American, Asian American Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered Americans. Equality is equality. It’s time to make the Constitution legally binding.
