(Canada) An Ontario professor has developed an experimental HIV vaccine that may be soon brought state-side for human testing.
Dr. Chil-Yong Kang, a University of Western Ontario professor, developed the vaccine, called SAV001-H . Sumagen Canada Inc, who supports the professor, says that the vaccine has been tested on animals without any identified adverse effects or safety risks. The makers of the vaccine are waiting for approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration before they can begin testing the vaccine on humans.
Seventy countries around the world have already patented the vaccine.

I am not up with the current HIV news, but aren’t there different strains of HIV. How can one vaccine address all of these strains? If it does, then it is a great day for the HIV community, but I am still a bit skeptical.
Cross my fingers this works for most strains.
If anything, this is a step in the right direction… it’s really too bad that the rest of the country is still enclosed in their Michael Jackson bunkers to realize that other important issues like this are going on…

I bet the moment the HIV vaccine is avaliable, Texas will not allow it – remember the Australian man [forget his name] who developed the HPV vaccine and then Taxas put a stop to the supplies of the vaccine getting through to Texas students, because “it might encourage promiscurity among teenagers”!!!!
Texas sucks – because of the raid of a gay bar they did just recently.
Texas are terrorist cunts!!!!!!
This is amazing, I really hope this vaccine is the one that will be able to finally stop this horrific virus from growing into a worse problem than it already is, perhaps even this vaccines will let us push back for once.
