Exclusive video: Olson and Boies Q&A on Prop 8
Last Wednesday, the New York Times hosted an intimate question and answer session with the lawyers currently working to overturn Proposition 8 in California, Ted Olson and David Boies. (Our earlier recap of the discussion).
Even if you’ve read stories about the evening, Boies and Olson speak with such passion and persuasion that the video is worth watching. Being in the same room with them was like being in the presence of history. The Times was kind enough to send us over the video – we’ve encoded it below. After watching this, I am even more hopeful than I was before. Thank you!
This was by far the best discussion I have ever seen about gay marriage and equality for everyone. Not once did I take my eyes off of my monitor. These gentlemen are my new heroes! Thank you so much for giving people the opportunity to see this.
I too, only wish that the whole trial could have been televised. What people against gay marriage and equality need is education and I think this would have been an excellent time to begin that education.
it sounds like the lawyers David, and ted enjoyed making the supporters of prop 8 look stupid in front of the supreme court.
