@Tom Hill is here because he has “issues”. Don’t know what they are for sure, but I have my suspicions.

Tom, many of us have been in the closet at one time or another. However, it is those closet cases who attack us from their caustic closets who are truly, in my books, the worst of the worst. They are likened to those concentration camp detainees who co-operated in killing others in order to save themselves.

Ted Haggard has done nothing to deserve forgiveness. It is all out of self preservation. He now has a better understanding of us? Really?

Then why isn’t he selling his $700,000 house to establish a home for wayward gay teens that he convinced parents to kick out of their homes? What about unemployment benefits for those fired because of his hypocritical sermons; or people dead because they were denied healthcare, or teenagers swinging by a rope because the likes of him taught them to hate themselves to death?

Get real Tom.

It’s true that there isn’t a great deal of compassion here for the likes of Haggard or Craig. It’s not because we don’t understand their circumstances. All LGBT people have the option to live a lie, marry, and be tempted to cheat because of our personal natures. the openly gay comunity made the moral choice not to lie, to find the one we truly love and make our life with them. We don’t need forgivness for that choice though we pay dearly for it(and more dearly because of the likes of Haggard). Forgiving Haggard for having a gay dalliance reenforces the false morality that living a lie is the more moraly correct choice. When he asks forgivness for living a lie and for making it even harder for me not to, then I will forgive him.

While I agree he’s a pig…and more realistically just a very sad example of a human, the true story here is the IDIOTS that have been brainwashed to believe him. Its almost like they all have to go and confirm his ability to be reborn, because they may get caught themselves someday.

Am I the only one who noticed that his house has a price tag of $700,000????

If a pastor of a church can afford a $700,000 house, then the Church’s tax exempt status needs to be revoked.
