Donald Trump ousts Prejean as Miss California

(Los Angeles) It’s official: Controversial Miss California Carrie Prejean has heard the words “you’re fired” from pageant boss Donald Trump.

Trump issued a statement Wednesday saying he sacked Prejean for failing to honor her commitments as Miss California USA.

Pageant officials say Tami Farrell, the first runner-up to Prejean in the Miss California USA competition, will take over those responsibilities.

Prejean created controversy during the Miss USA competition, where she was first runner-up, when she answered a judge’s question about gay marriage by saying marriage should be reserved for men and women.

    • how can so many of the writers here have so much hatred in them for anyone who disagrees in the slightest with their opinions?

what if Prejean had been pro gay and the judge anti gay and treated her like he did? would that have been “different”?

manners should never be out of season, but too often are.

we are what we despise in others, including Pat Robertson and those who disagree with us.

yes, that means you if you are foaming at the mouth while reading this.

    • Correction – Carrie’s first offense was for POSING for the semi nude-pics and then lying on her contract that no such photos were ever taken – NOT the finding of such photos. So yes, she broke her contract BEFORE Perez ever asked his question.

    • Kari- Her opposition to gay marriage was never the issue!!!! She completely violated her contract obligations. Her first offense (for which The Donald forgave her) was the discovery of the semi- nude pics. The contract (which she signed) was completely clear in asking if there were ANY nude or semi-nude photos ever posed for by a contestant. She lied and said, “no.” There was then no “legally justified” decision made as a law had not been broken. It was then a matter of the contract’s validity. Again, she didn’t break the law (criminally); she lied on the contract making it null and void which menat she should have been chucked. The Miss America Board wanted her dethroned and were within their contractual rights to do so, but The Donald saw the whole incident up to that point as great for business and as owner of the Miss America pageant had the king-veto which allowed her to keep her crown as was his right to do so although extremely stupid.
Since then, she has not kept FURTHER contractual obligations. Again I will quote the California pageant’s executive director, Keith Lewis, “This was a decision based solely on contract violations, including Ms. Prejean’s unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization,”
The problem was that she was not showing up for appearances she promised to make in her contract chosing instead to make “unsanctioned” appearances. It doesn’t matter what that the appearances were for (ie. NOM) it was that she was making them INSTEAD OF her commitments to the Pageant and without the Pageants consent. What you need to understand is that when you win the Miss America Pageant, your ass is essentially theirs (contractually) and you show up where they want you to show up and you do not have the right to speak up for ANYTHING (without express consent) as you represent them. Hope that clears it up.

You will get your copy of the gay agenda the next attendance at IML, Southern Decedance or HRC Dinner Party.

And! You don’t get a toaster for being recruited! You get a toaster for doing the recruiting! Get Out There Boy!

    • What?! That silly buffoon with the goofy hair actually came around and reversed his position, after going on the air and saying what Prejean did was OK because “this is the 21st century” and showing a little tit wasn’t as offensive as it may once have been. Duh! Showing a little tit wasn’t what it was all about, and The Donald didn’t get it, just as he doesn’t now. He should have said that he reconsidered and doesn’t like her position on gay marriage and it isn’t the business of a beauty queen to speak out on behalf of denying any their civil rights. What a creep!

    • Bud Evans: As patently ridiculous as everything you ever post here is, that was kind of amusing. Bravo.

    • Poor, Poor, Carrie. Karma is a bitch isn’t it?

    • Firebolt: Was she a no-show? I don’t know. Beauty pageants aren’t really my thing.

Yes, she did promote NOM, but that wasn’t until after she made her now-infamous comments about same-sex marriage. I haven’t seen the “semi-nude” photos myself, but was there anything in her contract that said that’s not allowed? I’m not saying she hasn’t breached her contract. I’m asking if she breached her contract before Perez Hilton’s famous question to her.

EQUALITY: Yes, and I suspected that’s what happened. They made the legally justified decision before by not firing her then. (I don’t think it was the ethical choice, but it was legally justified.) Now also, they are making the legally justified decision by firing her.

Carrie Prejean was kind of a no one before Perez Hilton asked her a loaded question. Her answer made her a lot of enemies but a handful of friends. Her new ‘friends’ swept in, looking for a young person to soapbox for them so it doesn’t look like the anti-equality lobby is just a bunch of old, hateful white people. They distracted her from her normal job so much that her employer filed her.

They used her, and once people get tired of her they will discard her and she will go back to being a no one.

    • Trump made a fool of himself.

    • From what I hear, it was a bit more complicated than just Carrie Prejean not fulfilling her pageant obligations. Miss Callous-fornia was actually fired by Mr. Trump because she refused to participate in a three way with Mr. Trump and the Gerbil which lives on top of his head.

On CNN, last night, the Gerbil told Anderson Cooper that he wasn’t that offended by Pregean’s rejection because he’s not really much into bestiality anyway.

    • WEHO WILLY: Yeah, and… he owns the damn thing, he can do whatever he wants. Just because she reflects the collective ignorance of the masses doesn’t make her right.

    • As Miss California,Carrie Prejean expressed the prevailing opinion of the U.S.government and the California State government concerning Equal Rights for the Gay Community. In this sense, she was a true representation of Miss AMERICA and Miss CALIFORNIA.
On TV,Carrie Prejean publicly revealed her ignorance and intolerance, but she only Said what the majority of people
in the U.S.and California think about the Gay Community.
It is frightening that a man with the power and money of Donald Trump, has the influence,to decide on a whim, you’re in/you’re out…you’re right/you’re wrong.
