***It’s this Simple. IF YOU ARE OF MUSLIM/ISLAM and you Do NOT believe in “Western World Views” No matter what country, be it Europe, USA, Canada or South Africa. THEN GO HOME! Period. That is not that hard to comprehend.

We have our own Europeans, Canadians, Americans of the religious right full of hate to deal with. We don’t need you. Just because you believe gays should be flogged, shot, stoned to death, etc. because of your religion doesn’t mean the rest of the world is stuck in the 16th century!

He “claimed” his son wrote this, well I would assume he or his son or both are probably closet cases and scared of their own sexuality!

As with ALL religion, there are bound to be extreme conservatives (and for that matter, people that take their faith very liberally).

I am Australian, and I have met genuine, kind Muslims that do not believe in discrimination and are not terrorists.
I have also met EXTREME Christians (Hillsong anybody??) who preach oppression and cruelty.
I can’t stress enough how dangerous it is to paint a whole section of society with the same brush. As history has proven time and time again, it is often the noisy, extreme minority that are the ‘face’ of any movement.

I’m just waiting for Mr. Withers to say we are all anti-muslim for speaking out against this mans warped views of humanity. How can he even be a doctor? Did he skip that whole part about first do no harm.

We are too pc. this is mulsim incited discrimination. I have no ill feelings towards muslim people, but as I do towards all religions, I have immense hatred for the faith.

Similar to Prop 8 in California where blacks voted against us, nothing against blacks, it is the black evangelical church at odds here. I do simply wish, however, that the African American community in CA would have rejected their hate-filled faith. That is their failing, as is this Dr.’s.

It’s amazing that so many folk are coming to this mans defense. I keep hearing this myth about moderate Muslim’s and that Islam is a religion of peace. Anyone ever seen anyone of importance within Islam give a speech regarding tolerance and acceptance? If this is such a tolerant religion, I’m waiting for some to finally stand up. Heck, in the US we’ve been waiting since September 11, 2001. The Spanish have been waiting since March 11, 2004. The Brits have waited since July 7, 2005. The Israelis have been waiting for decades.

What Dr Siddiq done was awefull, but so to were the publishers of the letter. are there not any checks and balances in the publication? How is it that this letter even got published in the first place?

A guy like that should be introduced to the stick that he so mentioned. Then striped of he medical liscences.
A jail term would be a nice alternative but to hang him would work too as I believe that is the only real solution to that kind of hate.

Apparently English citizens do not have the right of free speech, and comments already posted below by the politically correct suggest they agree with censoring.

All the doctor did was write a letter showing his bigotry. The letter speaks for itself but the doctor should have the right to express his viewpoint. No homosexual patient needs to be seen by this physician. Writing a letter is not grounds for revoking a medical license, only conviction for a crime, or repeated malpractice are grounds for the revocation of a medical license.

And by the way, I am NOT gay, I am homosexual. Gay is such a irrelevant word.
