i served with two individuals that were gay they did their jobs as well as any one else i was with. they just wanted to do their jobs and not be bothered one was far superior than the others in our group including myself out of twenty three.

I *agree* with y’all that no study is needed to clarify any facts. But think in terms of political strategy. The purpose of the “one more year of study” is to allow the military the room to “come to this conclusion ‘on their own’.”

One of the reason why we got stuck with DADT in the first place is NOT because that’s what Clinton wanted for us (he actually wanted a complete lifting fo the ban). We got stuck with DADT because the leaders of the armed forces felt that a policy was being rammed down their throats without regard to their military experience or opinions. They didn’t react well to being pushed, and they pushed back. The result? DADT.

If conducting some unnecessary committee hearings over the next year will help move the human, relational, and political factors along in our favor, then I’m all for it.

Ok. So this is the dumbest thing in the world. If you go fight a war, please realize, you are NOT fighting for me. I did not ask you to nor do I care to have you do it. Granted it is a way to get loads of men killed so this country can be repaired by the women folk.
Lastly, Barack Obama doesn’t deserve to have his named spelled properly. It should be spelled President Hillary Clinton, but you jerks drank the Kool Aid and got the shaft. Thanks for screwing over the G&L community obama… plus sending all the gays to go die in a war. You people don’t realize they simply need you to go die now. They need fresh bodies and don’t want to use the draft. So we have this gung ho gays who just can’t wait to die apparently.
Good luck not committing suicide like everyone else seems to be doing over there.

Every poltician lies, duh, just look at the past 8 years. Obama is not the god of gods. True. I find it difficult to do a year study on this, since it’s been done in the past 15-20 years. Either they’re going to be running out of recruits or they’re going to have to appeal the “DADT” act.

This is very derogatory to many people gay or straight to subtract the gay population out of the military. It would be like taking out the minorities out of the armed services, it’s aobut time we stand up, and demand our rights. Some old rich white straight people can’t get their minds wrapped around a gay person serving beside their sons & daughters.There are many minorities that do this same thing. I believe those with closed minds, once they are dead will be in Hell with bikinis on, with a tree shoved right up their backsides. My mind is not widely open either, but I’m working on accepting more things that I cannot change. I don’t read what people say about men or come back for reading it. I realize that everyone has an opinion about what they believe, but understand this, will it top you off for writing it?

To get a republican to co-sponsor in the Senate of the United State, I regret to say that Senator Kennedy will not be able to count on either of the senators from my home state. Unfortunately, most politicians representing the people of the State of Texas believe sort of like some of the former representatives of the state of Oklahoma. They think that either there are no “queers” in Texas or that they need to keep it to themselves and should “stay in the closet”. You can bet that neither Kay Bitchy Hutchinson nor Little Johnny Cornyn will step up and be for letting those “gay boys and lizbeeanns” serve with our brave soldiers. The only hope for justice to be available for gays in Texas will come after several multitudes of funerals for governmental officials and a redistricting which can “kill” several rather obvious “gerrymanders” within the state.
