I dont know exactly what all was in her speach but if people want to be excepted for who they are then they have to except others for who They Are. If she believes God helped her through school then fine! Some other paople credit lucky charms of one kind or another so whats the big deal? If we cant learn to except others for what they believe then how do we expect them to except us. We need less fighting and more understanding. Evil begets Evil!

Of course this matters to us as others pointed out, we are in a war with religion. If you think we are fighting mere homophobia, you need to look up the food chain a bit more. Religious whack jobs like this kid are the reason we have to fight for our rights, so it is extremely important to recognize and celebrate every gain.

There was a similar case in Denver and the little bitch intent on giving a sermon has found herself in serious trouble as she defied a court order to not proselytize from the podium.

We need to realize our fight is not with Americans, it is with religion. The people against us, even that nut job Brown, are simply deluded by religion. We can cure them, and we can get a more complete victory by winning against religion.

Religion is evil, even if it manifests itself as one of the "good non hating" churches, what it purports to do to our minds is simply disgusting.

I really believe we excel in the arts, in negotiation, as thought leaders, in so many ways not because we are gay but because we have had to confront really tough issues early on and in general are more likely to succeed because of this.

We really can't say we are better or smarter or even more creative...I just think the odds are on our side and it shows in the many, many successful gay people.

We owe our country to give back from this success our ability to see above the scam that is religion. It is our civic duty, in my opinion, to take our advantage and use it to improve society.

This is why I have pledged to end religion in my lifetime. Please join me.

ugh. good. Though I dont even believe in god, I do believe that everyone has the right to speak their beliefs. But there's a point where it goes too far.

If you grew up--or are growing up--in a place where religion is frequently used as an excuse and justification for homophobia, this case is very relevant. Maybe some of you didn't have that experience, but plenty of us--in damn near every state and province in North America--plenty of us did. Also, Henderson isn't some hick ranch town--it's suburban Las Vegas.

It is relevant because people try and use their religion as way to discriminate against other people who may have different beliefs.
