The Chinese have no problem violating human or civil rights in order to maintain "harmony" or the illusion of a mostly Han Chinese China that looks all the same everywhere. Hence the problem of ethnic minorities wanting to maintain their culture,languages and traditions and way of dress in their native regions of China being treated like "outcasts and/ or criminals in their own land". The Chinese are working hard to exterminate the Tibetan language, culture and way of life in Tibet which they brutally occupied since 1959. This harmony thing extended to AIDS and HIV activists, these activists are seen as disrupting a harmonious society rather than as working to ending that disease to China's benefit. The Russians are doing the same to the Georgians in Georgia and trying to take their sovereignty away from them by brutalizing them and in some areas forcing them to exchange their Georgian passports for Russian ones and to drop their Georgian cell phone companies for Russian ones, to in some areas remove everything Georgian and replace it with everything Russian. They want Georgians to stop speaking their ancient language and to speak Russian. The same as that Chinese are doing to the Tibetans. Make them into make-believe Chinese, speaking nothing but Chinese and brutalize them if they dare to be Tibetan. Same as the English brutalized the Celts and assaulted their languages and cultures. Much the same as we in the USA did to the American Indians. The powerful majority tyrannizing the less-powerful minority. Same as here in USA with the gay and lesbian minority.
