(Canberra, Australia) An Australian TV host said Tuesday that foul-mouthed celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay would never again be welcome on her show after he hurled insults and sexual references at her during a food and wine fair.
Ramsay is the volatile star of U.S.-based reality television programs “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Kitchen Nightmares” – ratings winners for Australia’s Nine Network. The network also broadcasts the popular “A Current Affair” television show, hosted by high-profile journalist Tracy Grimshaw.After an uneventful appearance by Ramsey on Grimshaw’s show Friday night, the British chef and restaurateur attended a food and wine tasting event Saturday attended by about 3,000 people in the southern city of Melbourne.
Ramsay stunned the audience by unleashing a string of insults at Grimshaw in her absence, calling her a lesbian and likening her to a pig. Ramsay repeated the insults Sunday and Monday at the same food exposition. Later he said he was only joking.
Grimshaw, though, failed to see the humor and retaliated on her program Monday night, calling Ramsay an “arrogant narcissist” and a “bully.”
“Obviously Gordon thinks that any woman who doesn’t find him attractive must be gay,” Grimshaw said. “For the record, I don’t and I’m not.”
Grimshaw continued her attack Tuesday in a radio interview during which she said Ramsay would not be invited back on her program.
“I’m not interested in speaking to the bloke again,” Grimshaw told Fairfax Radio. “I can’t imagine any circumstances where I would want to interview him again.”
Ramsay’s publicist did not return The Associated Press’s telephone call on Tuesday.
Our deputy Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, had a great response to it, saying Ramsay should ‘confine himself to the kitchen and stop abusing women’.

This guy is a real jerk. He’s a mean-spirited fool,to everyone.
Anything he says or does, does not surprise me.
It was just a matter of time before he made gay remarks.

Gordon Ramsey obviously needs to insult and bully people to make himself believe that he is superior.He is one of those people who uses his imagined “SuperStar Chef” status to do and say anything he wants,to anyone he wants.
Wouldn’t you just love to see Ramsey up in a male chefs face,screaming obscenities and insults…then suddenly,the male chef punches him out and kicks his ass on “HELLS KITCHEN”?!
Chef Ramsey … is not an example for humanity to emulate he is an example of what is wrong with how humanity has been dismissed.

I LOVE “Hell’s Kitchen,” but HATE him with a passion!! Yes, he treats everyone like crap, but ESPECIALLY any gays.
BTW. Have you noticed that from ALL the chefs that stand in front of him, only a SMALL percent are gay? COME ON! In “reality,” 90% of his competitors would be gay! Clearly he has MAJOR issues! DUH! Bastard!
But that show is like a train-wreck….gotta watch!

My previous comment seems to get you misunderstood. It was not to be taken seriously or making things up or adding words to the article above. It absolutely has nothing to do with Grimshaw or lesbian comment. It was a matter of thought opinion of my own question to be sarcastic towards Chef Ramsey if met him in person, as if freedom of speech.
Just curious about Chef Ramsey towards gay people since his comment calling someone a lesbian, as I’m a BIG fan of him and studying Culinary Arts school in major to become a Chef myself.
Sent a message to fox letting them know I wouldn’t be watching the show anymore. I also let them know I burned his book and threw out his cookware. IF they know that people don’t tolerate this sort of language, then they won’t tolerate it from the celebrities they pay. I encourage everybody to do the same.

What the hell possessed him to pull a stunt like this? I know plenty of people who think he’s over the top, but if you’ve spent any time working in a restaurant, his conduct isn’t especially noteworthy, his language even less so. But this business in Melbourne is just strange. Was he drunk?
