Picking her because of her family name (the same for Cuomo) just smells of nepotism. There are many more people that are just as if not more qualified for the post. She may have been very well qualified and undoubtedly supports our Gay community, but I am still suspect of her uncle Ted from Massachusetts! I would be very much afraid that Caroline would follow her uncle's lead and continue his trashing of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS legislation. It's bad enough that Ted stabbed, politically speaking, Hillary in the back during the Democratic nomination process; he's had a long history of screwing both Senator Clinton and New York State. Our region lost millions of dollars in HIV/AIDS services funding due directly to Teddy's un-doing of the former CARE Act in 2006. Senator Clinton bravely stood up to Teddy and the whole Senate on behalf of New Yorkers Living with AIDS; but we and many others lost.
