Just so people don't think all Dave's are idiots!

Dave, how dare you say I want protection from any church, where did you get that?

Religion is a lie. I'm not for violence so won't be burning any churches down, but I will fight religion tooth and nail until it gasps its last feeble, hate filled breath.

How dare you say I want any evil, hate filled church to care for me! I am much smarter than that. Who would want a bunch of lying, hand wringing power mongering disgusting closet cases caring for them? Not me.

Bi my ass, I suspect you want the dick without the "lifestyle". Sounds like the same hypocrites that populate those churches you refuse to repudiate.

Get a life idiot.

"... DO WEAR A WHITE KNOT (eg. White Ribbon knotted in the middle..). ... As this is to become our SYMBOL ..."

Love your support LOrion but I'll choose my own symbols, thank you. Red ribbon, pink ribbon, blue ribbon, etc. They've all lost any meaning in the confusion of colors! FYI, I always wear my Lambda necklace proudly since I purchased it in 1972 -- the Greek letter Lambda, the original symbol adopted by the majority of the gay community. And I proudly fly the Rainbow Flag, a more current symbol. No one told us to adopt these particular symbols from the ones that were spread around. The community made its own decision.

Dave... I'm 62 yo and have known (and still know) many, many so-called "bi" people in my years. My personal conclusion is life-long "bi" people just want to get it off, whether it's sex with a man or a woman.

But then again Dave, this is America. More power to you in in your Constitutional guarantee of pursuit of life, liberty, or property.

Dave,

Please tell me you're not that naive. The notion that African Americans have never rioted over racial injustice is absurd. The struggle was violent and bloody. And the only reason why the white establishment flocked to Martin Luther King's "peace and reconciliation" message was because the alternative would've been far worse for them. It was either follow the program or see their precious cities go up in flames. Even then they dragged their feet for years. It actually took King's assasination to get the federal government to pass the second Civil Rights Act (and to start enforcing the first one with any seriousness). They certainly didn't do it out of any enduring love for black people.

Just a small sample of the "racial disturbances" that took place during the 1960s:

Cambridge (Boston Area) 1963
Harlem (New York City) 1964
Philadelphia 1964
Watts (Los Angeles Area) 1965
Chicago 1966
Cleveland 1966
Atlanta 1966
Oakland (San Francisco Area) 1966
Newark 1967
Detroit 1967
Memphis 1968
Washington DC 1968
Orangeburg 1968

I don't deserve it, davie? ("I"--because as far as you and I are concerned, you're not in my community. And further, you have access to those rights, breeder.) Why? What rioting? And damaging churches compared to funding bigotry and promoting it? That's awful that a book of disturbed rantings that an accident of history has rendered "sacrosanct" by people who don't think was burned in response to taking away rights. Who's worse off at the end of the day, huh? Who's the real victim here? The people with all of their rights intact who suffered the inconvenience of being called bigots for being...bigots...or those whose rights were taken from them? That's a rhetorical question, and you can look that word up in the dictionary if you own one. I doubt you do.

But more to the point, who's defending those trumped up media martyrdom events (church spokespeople and members lying, exaggerrating and victimizing themselves while blaming others), though? No one. So that all of a sudden means that all gays and lesbians (you aren't one of us, thank GOD) don't deserve marriage equality. Somehwere in the recesses of your feeble mind, I'm sure that those are related. You're an astonishingly stupid person, Dave. It's not an insult, though--it's a neutral description like the color of your hair.

I am getting so sick of what the gay community is doing. i am bi and the way the gay community is acting im starting to not want anything to do with you all. You all preach to be equal and kind and loving. well im sorry you are totally going against what you are preaching to the world. you expect the church to care for you all when you are burning books of mormon, damaging churches, threatening members, etc. im sorry if this is to get married, you dont deserve it. when the black race was righting for their civil rights, they werent doing anything you are doing. im ashamed of what you are doing.

This is a ridiculous idea. My employer gives gay people the same benefits as straight ones, and is very open and accepting. Why would I want to hurt them by not showing up for work?

I think an even better plan would be for us to FLAUNT our wealth for a day. Let the straight people losing their jobs and houses see how well off we are and laugh in their faces!
