The sad thing about this ruling is that the straight people can use the same law to target those who did not support Prop 8 and donated against it. People should be allowed to support a political idea, or opponent and not be subjected to anyone else's scrutiny.

You attempt to influence legislation that creates pain and division and you have the GAUL to be expect others to be concerned about YOUR pain. Individually and collectively, these people can go screw themselves.

The supposed 'harassment' of Prop 8 donators is NOTHING compared to the harassment that Gays and Lesbians must endure EVERY SINGLE DAY in this country.

If you dish out hatred, harassment and discrimination towards a group of people that never did a thing to harm you, what do you expect from them in return?

Jesus Christ himself would be heartbroken by the heterosexual communiy's treatment of his Gay and Lesbian creations.

That 'Christians' think that they will not have to answer to him for what they have done to Gays & Lesbians only shows how littlwe interest they truly have in his message and his love.

I say we get the list compiled quickly and make sure there are many, many copies floating around so that if the decision doesn't come down favorably - tehy won't be able to prevent the information from being passed around anyway. If these people are so proud of their ignorance, they shouldn't mind at all. All decisions in life have consequences and attempting to use the courts to get around this won't prevent that. While I don't condone violence against anyone for their vote, there certainly are responses that are perfectly legal and appropriate that can be directed at these people - even if it is just hearing directly from someone whose life was personally impacted by this decision.

Those individuals who contributed more than $100.00 would likely be proud to have their names published. But the businesses . . . that's a different story.

It would be interesting to know - it will be interesting to know - how many have non-discrimination policies. I suspect more than a few. They ought to be fearful of having their names published. There would be backlash not only from the GLBTQS supporters, but from many within their own ranks. How would they possibly explain to their employees or to their customers why they contributed when they are, at least in word, supporters of the gay community.

I could be wrong (I was once before :-) ). But when the donor list is published I would bet my eye teeth we'll find more than a few companies (perhaps even religious organizations?) that give us lip service but who oppose us secretly and financially.
