While it's true that Burris isn't automatically corrupt because he would be appointed by a corrupt governor, it's also true that Burris' words and deeds show a major failure to appreciate the power of image. Why would an honest person want to be appointed to an office by a dishonest person? Burris seems to grasp that, but gives the impression that somehow he should be allowed to finesse his way past this point. How about NO. Burris shouldn’t be seated.
