(London) Singer Boy George admits in a recording played in a London court that he restrained a male escort with handcuffs.
But the former Culture Club singer says he had no intention of hurting the man. He also denies he tried to assault the escort or that he swung a chain at him.The singer, whose real name is George O’Dowd, is on trial for the false imprisonment of 29-year-old Audun Carlsen.
O’Dowd says in a police recording played Monday that he asked Carlsen to come to his apartment. O’Dowd says he wanted to ask Carlsen if he had tampered with his laptop.
The ’80s pop icon has a history of drug abuse and served a community service sentence in 2006 in the United States after falsely reporting a burglary.
Kind of a weird way of asking someone a question.
I thought this was his kinky way of horseplay.
He could hava told the guy what he had in mind.
But this case is getting weirder by now.
If he had worries about his laptop, He could have canceled his internet account, gone to another company, get a whole new clean computer set up, smashed his old laptop to pieces, gotten all his personal account numbers terminated and changed to new ones, if he was worried about his living space, he could have gone elsewhere.
A guy with big buck or rather big pounds, has a zillion other options other than terrorizing another man. He could have called the police maybe and giving a police report if he thought ID theft or other problems might come up because he suapected this guy of tampering with his laptop.
At this point, I have no great sympathy for either the hustler or for Boy George.
I have never bought a DVD of Boy George and I don’t think I will go out of way to do so at this point.
I guess Boy George didn’t really want to hurt him, didn’t really want to make him cry.
