Valor, honor and patriotism are not inherently heterosexual. Gay Americans deserve to be recognized for their contributions we do not ask other groups to hide who they are. Truthfully gay americans sacrifice more, their partners do not recieve any of the benefits others do. To give so much and be treated so badly is truley unamerican

CONFUSED..
How is it that the largest police departments in this country, most with areas of horrible violence and crimes can be so accepting to work side by side with “GAY Brothers and Sisters” on their force and that they trust each other with their lives. They continue to have the same high standards of professionalism and are accepted in the neighborhoods they patrol, but the government can not accept the same for our military brothers and sisters. I bet you that the majority of the gay officers did a tour of duty in the military first.

Two issues bother me here. One is that “don’t tell” is a prior restraint on freedom of speech and should be considered unconstitutional. The second is that in the “don’t ask, don’t tell” equation, I have never heard of anyone being discharged for the “don’t ask” side. In other words there have been many officers and review boards that acted on rumors and asked “are you gay?” Why haven’t any of these been investigated and discharged?

Lets not forget, convicted felons, thugs and other criminals are allowed to serve openly thanks to the GOP and I suppose that doesn’t affect cohesion and morale? What a national disgrace!

You can bet if there were another major war, they’d look the other way if the military was unable to recruit enough straight men and women including criminals. DADT would be held in suspension. Its ok for gays to die and shed their blood for this country, but its not ok to be honest about who we are, let alone have our full equality as tax payers. Its beyond a national disgrace.

Where is the Stop/Lose order from the Commander-in-Bullshit? He talks the Talk, but he can’t walk the Walk. We have a moral cripple for a president and gay americans have a piss poor savior!This is the least he can do, it is legal under a law passed by congress and it costs him nothing! I can’t wait to hear the mealy mouthed excuses he’ll make while careers and lives are being destroyed! Pathetic! Where’s Harry Truman when you need him. If there is no Stop/Lose order VERY SOON it means that the President of the US, the Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed Forces, is a moral coward,a political whore and a lying sack of shit!

So what do you expect to happen?
Our fearless president has the option to do a stop order (which stops all discharged) . Do you think he will, NO. Obama used the gays to get elected and he is back tracking on every one of them.
Get used to it its going downhill after this. I am sure he will enact some other form of discrimination as bad as DOMA or DADT. Ome can only guess how he will send us down the line like every other politician.
You are the ones that supported him and those of us that knew better voted for another candidate.

I’m tired of Obama always trying to pass the buck to Congress on this one. He doesn’t need Congress’ approval, he can overturn it by himself, he just isn’t willing to do it. At the very least, he could order the damn generals not to kick any gay or lesbian service members out until Congress steps up to the plate and changes the law, but again, Obama is leaving our community hanging. So much for another one of his promises.
