to island boy & menstruator=we lump hillary with bill because she is just like him!when those anti-gay radio ads played neither one denounced them!when dadt became law she was too silent for my tastes. if she had spoken up it would have helped deflect some attention off of her travelgate problem. i don’t recall her saying anything on behalf of us during the doma period.she is a money whore just like her husband is in regards to the gay community.who cares if she marched in a parade? that doesn’t secure any of us the 1,000 rights we should already have.heck even 10 and 15 year olds march in gay parades and they have no power in the country.in my book,it’s about responsibility not visibility. i would rather have politicians not go to marches & vote for my rights than the other way around.why do bglt’s make excuses for these disappointing and selfish politicians?we can do better than the clintons and at the rate the obamas are going(put off dadt repeal until the election year of 2010?),we can do better than them as well.

I agree with Jack Long. We can be our own worst enemy. As cliche as it sounds, a journey of a thousand miles began with one step. It’d be great if people changed for the better overnight, but the reality is that they don’t.

Though I’m not a big fan of Bill, I do like Hillary. Funny how people lump the two together all the time. Yes, they are married, but Hillary Rodham isn’t Bill Clinton. Why do people continue to overshadow her with her husband? She’s also her own person in her own right.

But I also have nothing against the boycott. Bill should be reminded that he can’t continue to play as an innocent bystander or as a double agent.

The Clinton’s have always given lipservice to Gay Rights but haven’t done anything for us that they weren’t dragged to by the Democratic Party. This was the main reason why I didn’t support Hillary for President from the get go. The Clinton’s are NOT GLBT friendly – we are but occasionally politically useful to them. STOP SUPPORTING THE CLINTONS because they don’t support us!

Why can people not see why he signed those 2 things into law? They were trying to completely bar us from the Military and pass a constitutional amendment to bar us forever from marrying. Bill simply put up a block and stopped them in their tracks and *gasp* was bi-partisan and met them half-way.
You can’t get everything you want, how you want it. If you have that mindset, you’re doomed to allow the opponent to get everything they want, how they want it. People talk about how they want bi-partisanship and for Dems/Repubs to compromise on things and that’s exactly what he did and people still aren’t happy.

“Clinton has a mixed record on LGBT issues”? It’s not mixed at all. It’s been characterized by indecision and betrayal since his first day in office in 1993, when he went back on his very public and oft-repeated vow to life the ban on gays in the military on his first day in office.

A second of easily a dozen examples: Clinton ran radio spots throughout the Bible Belt states during the 1996 re-election campaign that touted his support of the Defense of Marriage Act as “protecting the family” and standing up to the “radical homosexual agenda”

Save yourself the time and money of reading propagandistic auto-biography: Clinton’s entire political career can be summed up in two words: NO INTEGRITY. If you were shocked at the Monica Lewinsky affair, you need to wake up – that was just Bill being Bill.

So too was Clinton’s appearance at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego on Sunday. Stop expecting the man to suddenly manifest a conscience and sense of veracity.
