BS. This is like Krugman of the NY Times defending Keynesian economics. Try the inability to maintain long term relationships, ie. BPD, open marriages(LGBT) and lack of fidelity. Unbelievable how LGBT academicians willfully engage in antisocial behavior in order to perpetuate their agenda. Good luck replicating that study.

That’s a very tricky statistical analysis they are proposing. I doubt very much that it “hold[s] up under a range of empirical models.”

I’d want to see some replication in other studies before I take this in as “fact.”

Congrats Dave!

I always assumed that this was the case. A lot of the gay marriage movement started as a sexual revolution and gradually slid toward mainstreaming. There are still many that disagree that we should try and mainstream. We should be proud to be different and not succumb to heterosexual rites of passage. I am not one of those. I do believe that much of the gay culture still tends toward promiscuity from our sexual liberation roots- and as the mainstream heterosexual tradition of finding a mate and committing to them becomes more of a norm, less promiscuity will occur. Its funny that those that hold promiscuity against gays wont let them form their version of a committed relationship (marriage). I’m glad we have come as far as we have i still want to fight.

I wanted to get married in California in 13 December, 2008 to my boyfriend of 14 years – but had to cancel because of 52% of people voting FOR Prop 8, oh well. Then I moved to Vermont (have an extented mega family over there anyway) and will soon get married there right on at midnight 1 September, 2009!!!!!!

ALL STATUTES THAT SAY THIS SHOULD BE REPEALED;
“a union between a man and a woman” or this “a union between one man and one woman” – so last century!!!!!!!!

IN 2009, MARRIAGE MEANS;
“a union between two consenting adult human persons” – now we are moving with the times of the 21st century!!!!!!!
