(Baltimore) A lesbian couple was found dead in their apartment on Wednesday reports the Baltimore Sun. A daughter and niece of an upstairs neighbor were able to open the front door of the apartment and find the couple face-down on their bed.
Several clues indicate foul play, including an open front window and a side window leading to the basement that appeared to have been forced open. The neighbors investigated the apartment to find the source of an “odor that grew so strong that people living next door lit scented candles.”The slayings occurred just days before the couple had plans of moving out and after they had gotten into an argument with a stripper they had taken in and later evicted.
“They were just planning on moving, they said they didn’t want to be in Baltimore,” said property manager Miki Scholtes. “They told us they were going to be out of that place by the end of this week.”
I agree with Tina. It doesn’t appear to be a hate crime. Looks like 365Gay picked up the story just because it involves a gay couple. Which is kind of insulting to the victims, if you think about it.
I didn’t see anything that sited the fact that this was a lesbian couple being reason for their deaths. Suffice it to say, people are actually killed for other reasons. It may be purely coincidental that this was a lesbian couple.
This is a tragedy! While I still want to help all people, I don’ think it’s smart to “take people into your home”. I would rather give them directions to a shelter, or give them money for a hotel room. Nobody gets into my home though. I even make my son call before he visits (smile).

I think it is much better at this point if 365gay doesn’t publish speculation or gossip or hearsay. A brief article with just the known facts at this point does the community a greater service. Readers will jump to conclusions anyways, as some already have about the stripper, but 365gay is doing their part to keep it “news”.
