4 sought in gang rape of lesbian

(San Francisco, California) Police in Richmond, northeast of San Francisco, are hunting four men accused of the brutal kidnapping and gang rape of a lesbian. Investigators have appealed to the public for help and have posted a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrests and conviction of the men.

Police said that the 28 year old victim was confronted by the four as she got out of her car on December 12.  She was beaten, raped and robbed.  When the attackers heard someone approaching they forced the women into her car and made her drive to a desolate area where the attack and rape continued.

Police said that during the ordeal the men made a series of homophobic remarks. Investigators said they believe the men realized the victim was a lesbian because of a rainbow sticker on her car.

If the men are caught they will face a hate crime charge on top of charges of rape, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, carjacking and kidnapping.

The men escaped in the victim’s car.  She was able to get help from a nearby resident who called police and paramedics.

The woman was treated in hospital and continues to receive psychological counseling.

    • Disgusting and sad. This is the kind of violence that obama is legitimizing by honoring Rick Whore-en in his inauguration.

      Horrible.

    • And they ask, why is symbolism so important to you Gays…the inauguration address will be over in 3 minutes and no one will remember what he said. Dehumanization of any group of Americans, as history as shown us, results in violence. I am very sorry for this women. Is there a fund for her?

I am so sorry for this poor women.

    • this is sad and horrible. Everytime I read a story like this it makes me wonder why fight over marriage when laws like ENDA and the Matthew Shepard law go unpassed

    • And because the culprits are men of “color”, politically correct gay activists are hiding from the story. If Obama was a white Republican you know damn well they’d be blaming this assault on the President Elect. Until gay rights activists put honesty and honest reporting first, we’ll always be potential victims of homophobic assaults.

    • Never go anywhere with your assailants, make as much noise as possible, never drive them anywhere, if they get you alone somewhere they’re just going to kill you and make it last longer. Always give them as much trouble as humanly possible if they try and take you away from the scene. She was lucky to have survived.

    • This story just made me tear up and get sick to my stomach all at once… My heart goes out to the victim. I hope anyone out there that can help bring these men to justice will step forward and do what is right.

    • Who do we have to blame for this horrible, deplorable act but those who encourage and promote division and hatred? People like Rick Warren and his supporters (Obama included). The pope should also be on the top of the list after declaring today that homosexuals are a threat to the planet as much as climate change. THESE PEOPLE ARE RESPONSIBLE because they give the OK to hate. To passively incite violence is one of the most reprehensible things another human being can do.

This story broke my heart to pieces and sent me into tears. How can other human beings be capable of this? I don’t understand and I never will.

To all of those who don’t understand what the “big deal” is about Rick Warren giving the inaugural invocation is, simply look at the true causes of hate crimes….and never underestimate the power that hate speech has.

I am disgusted and saddened today. Our community needs to rise up and fight for our cause like we have never fought before. The time has come.

    • The vile rick warrens are directly responsible for this. After all, those disgusting rick warrens compared the victim of this crime to child molesters. But when the perpetrators are hopefully caught and they would claim that they merely carried out the teaching of their rick warren, then the rick warren would claim that he had meant his remarks only in the philosophical sense.

    • I hope these animals get put down hard and permanently. No second chances, and no hetero justice. More than that, I hope the victim is receiving appropriate medical and psychological care…and that her recovery is as good as can be hoped. It’s getting worse.

    • This is truely a dispicable act for anyone to have to live through for any reason. I thik these 4 should be sentenced to life in prison when they are caught, where they can be raped over and over again themselves. And i will second the question of whether there is a fund for this woman.

    • I see hate crimes still exist even in the most gay friendly places. Until the penalty for such a crime is punishable to the fullest; this will continue whether it be GAY, KKK, or just some psycho getting their rocks off by being ignorant with their narrow minded thinking. When and if these idiots are caught they should be prosecuted and locked up for a long, long time!

    • Violence and hatred are the seed of fear and hatred, fueled by religous beliefs and the belief that God hates homosexuals and will cast them down to the depths of hell. Religion is supposed to be the beacon of hope, the beacon of love and the savior of our souls. God loves the sinner and dislikes the sins. He hates no man, because our world would be deviod of existence at this moment if he did hate humanity. People are nothing more than double - standard pigs and the ghastly pigs who did this to this incident women are most likely homosexuals afraid of their own sexual desires. I will always be on the side of righteous agansit all forms of hatred, i don’t care about what God ”thinks”, i care about making our society safer for everyone. I wonder if four men kidnapped a black women would the media igroant such a ghastly acts?

    • Not vigilantiaism, but recognize that this nation is like a crowded theatre, and you don’t get away with starting riots by shouting fire.

And the same should apply to the churches who demonize gay people, directly or indirectly. Given the power that religion has over some people in general, their condemning a group is directly a conspiracy before the fact, simply using self selecting people to do their dirty work. The nightmare of the religious right is that they might be silenced by laws, such as hate speech laws in Europe.

But I wonder how they would feel if a large Muslim group condemned them, and told the Muslim people that the US religious right christians / Catholics were were worthy of death, for their improper interpretation of God’s word. They’d be screaming mad. They’d be ranting about opening a new front here at home in a war on religious terrorism.

Funny how it depends who is victim and who is criminal, and what they would say.
