Congratulations to all those marchers. Wish I could have participated. You Marched for me and I believe in all of us. Equality is important for everyone in the human race. Some people just don’t get it. Everyone has the right to
live their own lives and be happy. Some
People are not happy so they don’t want
any one else to be happy.

I am one of those wild 70′s gay men who dodged the AIDS epidemic and had marched against Anita Bryant, many a candlelight marches, Stonewall 25 and have been gay all my life. Unfortunately, I had a stroke, or else I would be there with all those gays and lesbians, for,the struggle is NOT over !! AND WE WON’T REST UNTIL IT IS !!!!!!!!!!!

With all the pronouncements from the LGBT blogs of “covering the march” do you think ANY of them would let those of us at home who couldn’t go, know that the march is bring broadcast on CSPAN?

It promises to be a very interesting weekend to say the least. And to have reporters “tweeting” “live as it happens” will have everyone in the gay community involved as one voice. There are so many out there, because of financial or health issues, that will not be physically there, but having the ability to express comments and concerns while also lending support to the movement, in itself is a reflection of the powerful community we have become. We are here, we have always been here, and we are not going away!

I’m here in DC covering the local flavor of the equality march, and I’m glad to report that there is a large buzz around the weekend’s events! The gay community is talkiong about it on the streets, on the subways, in the clubs, and everywhere else that you can think of. I’m covering the events for QVegas Magazine, and this is truly an inspiring moment for our community. I wasn’t able to get into the black tie affair tomorrow, but I’ll be sticking to 365gay.com’s twitter account to see what’s going down.

To everyone that can’t be here, keep us all in your thoughts, because there’s a movement happening and it’s going in our favor!

A big cheer to all those covering the march, to all those who will be there and for all of us who have taken time to write public officials at federal, state and provincial levels advocating for full equality for LGBT folk everywhere. Those who have participated in this initiative to regain momentum on LGBT equality have done great work. WE WILL NOT ALL BE IN WASHINGTON IN PERSON, BUT THERE WILL BE MANY OF US THERE IN SPIRIT BY VIRTUE OF PERSONAL AND LOCAL ACTIONS.
