College wrestler in gay porn flap transfers

(Lincoln, Nebraska) One of two University of Nebraska wrestlers dismissed from the team after posing naked for videos and photographs on an Internet gay pornography site has left the school.

The Associated Press reports that Paul Donahoe has transferred to Edinboro University in Pennsylvania.

Donahoe and fellow wrestler Kenny Jordan were dropped from the team three days after a blog posted images of them taken from Fratmentv.com, a web site featuring naked or partially clothed male athletes.

The Scarlet Project, a blog that touts itself for reporting “news, scandal and gossip” at the university, posted the pictures online but altered them so that they didn’t show full nudity. The blog reported that they were obtained from an anonymous person.

At the time, assistant athletic director for compliance Josh White said Donahoe and Jordan were declared ineligible because they violated an NCAA rule that prohibits athletes from appearing in pictures for commercial use.

Donahoe won the Big 12 championship at 125 pounds in 2008 and placed third in the NCAA tournament after winning the title the year before.

The NCAA must reinstate Donahoe before he can compete in the future.

A senior, Donahoe, would not be eligible until the second semester Edinboro coach Tim Flynn said in a statement.

Jordan, a junior 133-pounder, was fourth in the Big 12 and failed to place at nationals this past season. He has not indicated if he plans to transfer or remain at the university.

    • WOW! 14 comments and only 2 point out that this is about NCAA rules – NOT about being gay, NOT about being naked or about anything else. GEEZZ OH MAN!

But I would like to know from Censoredagain which of Aesop’s fables I missed in grade school? Or maybe just what IS the moral of the story?

    • My response is that it isn’t for me as an individual to decide for everyone else the merits of publishing this story or not – as you have yourself done. I can see some definite merits in it, the fact that you cannot make speak to some level of tunnel vision. That’s fine. Every single story that is printed does not need to “make us a better society” – that isn’t possible since who is to decide what makes us a “better society” – you? That’s like sense there is one universal standard for art – when art is in fact subjective. WE all have different interests and different stories speak to those different interests. When you say something is “without a doubt” – you are in essence implying that everyone else should agree, that there “should be no doubt” from anyone. In that sense, you have cast yourself as “sole decider”. Well, I DO disagree. Maybe another person who is gay and who is a wrestler has a definite interest in this story. They has as much a rite to read a story as this as you do to NOT read it. Unfortunately, the rest of your posting seems to reveal your motivations more clearly.

    • Chris.
Is the story shallow or not? What substance does it have for society? What news worthiness does it have? Does it educate the populace in any way? Does it make us a better society? The article without a doubt is a voyeuristic fluff piece. The only value that may come of the article is something which should have been learned in grade school by one of Aesop’s fables. Yes I have an opinion which I stated and it is not because of Democracy that I can do so… it is because it is my constitutional right to do so which comes not from the state no matter what form the state governance takes. No I did not cast myself as the sole decider I did not try to gag any dissenting opinion nor did I castigate any or offered a dissenting opinion like another poster who posted.

Democracy is not from where our freedoms come; democracy is nothing more then Mob Rule which is why our thoughtful forefathers made our nation a Republic with two houses one to represent the mob and one to represent the states. Democracy in and of it self is neither good nor bad but ignorant voters make a stupid democracy. This you can not honestly deny. It is not the form of government for the most part, that make a government good or bad; but the people in the government. We the voters are that government and we have made a laughing stock of our government. Again this isn’t anything one can honesty say is not true.

I am of the opinion if I were an Obama worshiper like so many others you would not have been so quick to judge my post. I maintain the opinion it is only because I question Obama’s loyalty to individual freedom and the free market that you judge my post so harshly.

    • I want to know what gay guy inside the Nebraska athletic dept came across these photos and then exposed them. It’s not like schools have teams of people scouring internet porn sites looking for their athletes.

    • “Censordagain” – thanks for casting yourself as the sole decider of what is a “shallow” story. You like to throw around Lenin this and Lenin that – but you know, in a Democracy – you had just as much of a rite to ignore the story if you didn’t find it interesting. Instead, you chose to read it and then pontificate about its merits.

    • Wow! It is articles like this and the people that want more of them that explain the deterioration of America. With shallow Americans, come shallow American leaders. We as a people have to police ourselves because if we don’t the nanny government we are handing more of our individual responsibilities and rights to will police us.

To quote KMFDM “America gets the Politicians it deserves” That explains why we have had a Bush administration for over the past 7 years; and possibly a Leninist Leader like Obama and Leninist Lite Leader like McInsane.

Americans have to understand that there can never be individual freedom without individual responsibilities. The more we look for the government to save us the less and less free we become. We have to understand that in capitalist society we vote with how we spend our money. Reading shallow articles like the one above increases readership (and with traditional publications increase sales revenues) with an increase in readership comes increased ad revenue. So in the end we are less informed more ignorant and left with Leninist and Leninist Lite candidates.

    • Whats with the if forced to? Ibelieve the man is over the age of 18. The only people to object might be his parents otherwise he can do whatever he chooses. Shoot, a person in America can do as they choose unless I’ve been asleep for 54 years. Yes to me he has a huge phallus, is that better vandean? Although I usually say ” I bet he has a big dick”. And I also thought the other guy in the shower was cuter, and he was no sloucher either. If you got it, flaunt it. Nuf said. Peace…..

I wouldn’t feel too sorry for him. He can always be a male porn star. My god he has a huge weeny!!!!!
If he makes the choice to star in gay pornography as a free choice then so be it. If he were forced to make that choice because he has been hounded and pursued from pillar to post by a hypocritical group of sports fans then I think that would be a shame. If he wants to display his “huge weeny” that should be his choice. It should not be because a hypocritical public can not forget that he once posed for pictures and displayed his “huge weeny”. The only come in five sizes so people need to get over it. If anyone has not seen one, they are either cut or uncut and they are either small, medium, large, good god almighty, and oh, you poor baby. Other than that there is nothing to talk about other than possibly color and that is a whole different ball of wax.

    • These young men worked to produce a body that responds and wrestles around on the mat with other young men in uniforms which leave little to the imagination. They participate in a sport which has had homo-erotic undertones since the days when the Greeks did it nude. Now, because they posed for photos of those bodies and did some of them in the nude, they can not wrestle any more. Americans are such hypocrites about their sports figures. They want to see them flopping their junk in spandex while they wrestle, or while they ride a bike, or while they are running on a world stage but let one or two of them be photographed naked and their lives are ruined by their adoring public. What a bunch of ignorant, hypocritical crap from a bunch of jealous, old, fatbutts in wrinkled birthday suits that no on would want to look at on a bet. Leave these guys alone and let them get on with their lives.

  • jim Said: August 28th, 2008 at 6:26 pm
    • Here’s a thought, how’z about we just leave these guys alone now? Everyone’s gotten their voyeuristic jollies off of this story, why can’t we just let them live their lives in peace?
