We are married in Canada and domestic partners in Hawaii. In our long-ago youth were were dealt what seemed like lemons -- from those lemons we made a pitcher of lemonade which was deliriously intoxicating in our youth -- was sustaining and wondrous during our lives together. Now, late in life it is still wondrous and particularly so when we dislodge crusts of sugar from the ancient deposits in the dregs of that wondrous lemonade.
