I just now finished reading today’s New York Times on line edition, and you would think that Sen. Obama had not responded in any way to this completely inaccurate retelling of what the alleged author considers fact. Is it perhaps because the book is at #1 on the papers Best Sellers list, and they don’t want to piss off their advertisers with the rebuttal? I’m sure it sells much better with Sen. Obama acting as though it didn’t exist. Don’t we just wish the the purported ‘authors’ of this garbage didn’t.

The fact that so many people buy, what can only be accurately described as – crap – is a testament to the shocking number of utterly ignorant Americans in this country today. They don’t care about the truth, they care about coddling their own beliefs and prejudices. They are the reason that we have the moron we have in the White House and his equally pathetic administration. The media has a lot to do with this – they have no standards in terms of integrity anymore – whatever will make a buck is fair game to them. If Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, James Dobson, Pat Buchanan, Pat Robertson and others of their kind were no longer working – all of America would benefit. The success of books such as these sadly proves that the expression “stupid American” is not entirely undeserved.
