Wyndham Hotel Group owns several “low budget” hotel chains like “Days Inn”, “Super 8″, and “Howard Johnson” -all operated with the same gay-friendly philosophy.

When deciding where to stay, it is also important to know where NOT to stay when coming to Las Vegas.
The Venetian and the Palazzo, are both owned by Sheldon Adleson. Mr. Adelson is part of the major money behind the Republican Party, and also is funding the repeal of the Gay Marriage Amendment in California (Prop 8). So please look elsewhere when booking your Vegas vacation.

I agree with Larry. Not all GLBT are rich and can stay in overpriced hotels. Can you compile a cheap to medium range place?

This is all fine and dandy for upscale hotel visitors. What about the mid-priced like Fairfield or Hampton? Who should be avoided? Even Days’ Inn for those of us who travel on a budget? No need to go down to Budget Host or Motel 6. (I am gay, after all.)

Regarding Earl’s comment: The Hyatt’s mentioned don’t seem to be the ones owned by Manchester – that’s the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Hyatt just sponsored the Philadelphia Gay/Lesbian Film Festival, and while I would have hoped they’d have issued a stronger statement about Manchester, fact is, they’re a gay-friendly company with a wealthy, bigoted franchisee. Not the same as corporate homophobia.

Maybe HRC could add this sort of thing to their publications. They do have a list of employers and their score, e.g. in terms of equality for Gays and Lesbians in employment.
