No f**king kidding. And it appears they were the Orthodox Rabbis. Some of whom might well challenge Attila the Hun re absolutism. Well that is the answer- the religious right, and that is what the orthodox are, and freakouts about gay rights also, are all absolutist control freaks. Their way or the highway. Super-ego-man. They can do no wrong. And that is the danger. Can't do anything wrong, therefore anything they do is ok And that is the same attitude that the hierarchy of the catholic church, the fundamentalist christian right wingers, and of course Iran are all about.
