Rather, it's a case of buyer beware. Anyone who thought about it even just a little bit could have predicted that some would talk about religion, some would be hawking additional seminars, and who hasn't been asked for an email address or telephone number recently? Anyone who requests my contact information without "don't send me anything" and "we won't distribute your contact info" checkboxes is untrustworthy! And is anyone else creeped out by the idea that going to work for Haliburton has become synonymous with "serving your country"? I know there's truth to it, but there's just been such lax oversight of these contractors (see Blackwater for more info) that it's dubious to be equating it with serving in the military or being in the peace corps.
