DADT is truly troubling. Obama claims that he must enforce the law until Congress fixes, yet he has chosen not to enforce several laws until, wait for it... Congress fixes them!

I agree with you Alex, i wish Obama would just say what he means regarding LGBT issues, but he won't, since his major concern is money, and gays = money and angry gays =/= no money.

I was moved to tears by the interview of Lt. Col. Fehrenbach. Certainly no one can dispute that he is among our "brightest and best," and a fine example of the dedication, loyalty and bravery of those who serve our country in the armed forces. I have no doubt that there are thousands more people serving our country, some of them outstanding, like the Lt. Col., and some just quietly doing their duty day-by-day. Each of these people deserves the thanks and respect of our nation and the thought that we are still willing in the 21st century to discard these people and their service and careers infuriates me and makes me profoundly sad. I hope Lt. Col. Fehrenbach does get to shake hands with Mr. Obama on Monday, and gets to ask him that question. I fantasize that Mr. Obama will have the guts to shake his hand, look him in the eye and say either; "I'm going to stop this insanity immediately" or to come clean and say, "Regardless of your record and your service, I think you are a second-class citizen and I believe you should be rooted-out of the service." Either response from Mr. Obama would be acceptable. The first is, of course what we all want to hear; the second would at least let us know where we stand and would end the hypocrisy and allow us to take-on this issue with impunity and irresistible resolve..
