Leslie Jordan Returns as ‘Brother Boy’ in Sordid Lives
WHERE THE BOYS ARE
When asked about his love life, the performer quickly responded, “I have two poodles,” which is what he calls his two straight roommates. “They are my pets. I’m their sugar daddy.”
“No sex,” he was quick to clarify. “Brannon Purvis is the most beautiful boy. He is my husband. The other is my boyfriend.”
Jordan is fine with the “no sex” arrangement and when he feels the need to get physical “it’s so much better renting a boy, having sex, and then coming home to my husband.”
He admits to having hang-ups when it comes to intimacy, and says it is something that stems from his youth, that he believes will always be.
“I was 24 years old when I had sex in a bed,” he said. “I had it in truck stops, JC Penny restrooms and bookstores. I’ve always had shame associated with affectionate gay sex – I’ve dealt with that but I am so damaged.”
ENJOYING THE RIDE
One of Jordan’s favorite pastimes is tooling around Beverly Hills in the Volvo C70 he purchased with his fat book advance from Simon and Schuster.
“(When I) delivered the first 90 pages, they said they loved it,” he said with relief. “(I got) up in the morning and would write and write. I’m so disciplined with this writing.”
The book is a fun summer read. He shares stories about his childhood, climbing to the top of Hollywood (his Will and Grace role was written for Joan Collins, who ended up passing), and the famous people he worked with along the way – such as Boy George, Beverly D’Angelo (involving a pair of panties), Matt Lauer, and Robert Downey Jr. (they once shared a jail cell, according to Jordan).
The book is a surprise hit and Sordid Lives: The Series could soon be must-see TV. As for that other show, Jordan’s manager Billy Martin said the future of 12 Miles is still uncertain and hopefully the episodes will one day be available on DVD.
But Jordan is not the kind of guy who looks back. He stays focused on today.
“I’m in such a good place right now,” he said. “You can’t look at a job for your sense of self-worth. If it all works out great, if not, I’m blessed already.”

I’ve always thought Leslie was a wonderful actor and I’ve seen him in numerous tv shows, films, etc. certainly longer than two years ago.
Jordon is an actor I have always enjoyed, I am pleased that he has been cast in Sordid lives. I already love his character in this show and look forward to seeing more.
Was really funny and well written
The accepted catch-phrase around here, whenever we’re driving somewhere is: “Haul ass, Wardell!” It was great to see him is this year’s SF Pride Parade.
