I have ever been Ghandian pacifist follower of King, Rustin, Chavez, Suu Kyi, etc. I am also Quaker, Catholic and Buddhist. As Rev. Monroe well knows, Jesus did not say that blessed are the pistol packing police officers for they come in the name of the Lord or blessed are the shotgun straddled state troopers for they come in the name of the Lord or blessed are the machine gun missioned military soldiers for they come in the name of the Lord. He said: "Blessed are the peacekeepers for they come in the name of the Lord." Though I support equality in standing military, I oppose altogether support for any armed force as I believe should any person who claims to be Christian in more than name only but in life as well.
