Mitchell Gold: Decorating the Oval Office

My pick for the most historic high level appointment would be Supreme Court Justice.

American history has shown us that the advancement for individuals’ civil rights have seen their greatest accomplishments in the court.  A gay person would bring unique perspective as one who has experienced marginalization.

A recent book, The G Quotient, presents the thesis that gay people tend to be better managers and fairer to ALL their employees.  I think this might be the same in a court position.

Beyond that, it would send a dramatic signal to all Americans – but especially a 14 year old teen coming to the realization of their same sex orientation – that gay people are a whole and equal part of the fiber of America.

The next president should also appoint a team of two to hold the Cabinet post as Secretary of the Interior(s). Our standing as world fashion leaders would immediately increase substantially.

It would be helpful to world peace.  We need to get rid of the uptight traditional decorating in the Oval Office and throughout the White House public and private quarters.  Comfortable living and working environments help leaders to make better decisions.  Out with uptight traditional marriage and furniture.

Of course, Bob Williams and I should get this appointment.
