On the fun side: a gay man should be appointed Secretary of the Interior – simply because this country could use some good old-fashioned house cleaning after eight years of two cowboys messing it up in every sense.

First of all – we need a woman in this position to personify what has already happened in almost all facets of our society – women can (and always could) do anything a man can.

Second, we need a non-straight person to implement the full integration of the military.

Third – I cannot imagine that any one position – other than the Presidency – could more greatly empower the worldwide LGBT population. 

When she stepped off the plane for the first time in Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan, she would give the female and LGBT populations of those countries that glimmer of hope so desperately needed.
