But Trace, who is the alternative? A refugee from a now stagnant political career, thats who, in my opinion. Iwas furious to read of Obamas latest turn around. I began watching Obama years ago when he was shown to be a bright rising senator. I loved him! To read about him bringing that bigoted trash on his band wagon, i was floored. You know, this whole game of our federal govt. is just sickening. Our economy is [crap], most politicians are as crooked as my dogs hind leg, every pledge they give is just platitude for the moment and meant only to inflame passions and garner votes along the way. I really think i'll stay home this time. I'm too old and tired of this game we call an election. In the end all the majority of americans care about is their bank accts. and gay issues are not a big part of their everydayday life. Thanks for letting me vent. I really am pissed offn with all this. Peace folks, Doug...

Michael, I wonder why 365 does not put stories like the Advocate article out there. I've said it all along that Obama can not be trusted. I keep pointing out that he is no friend to the gay community. How many of these stories need to leak out about Mr. Obama and his disdain for those that donate to him. Wise up my friends, you are electing a man that can not be trusted.

Here's a news flash: Barack Obama is busy gearing up for his "Families and Values Tour." One of the featured speakers: Douglas Kmiec. He's a ragingly conservative Catholic law professor at Pepperdine. Tailor made for the Republican party (oh, wait, he aggressively campaigned for Ronalg Regan when he was younger...youthful indiscretion?) but he supposedly believes in justice and equity and therefore identifies with liberal causes. As long as you're not gay or in need of an abortion that is.

At what point do we say enough is enough Mr Obama? Gas and lesbians have gotten used to your lack of vocal support. But this is beyond that. When you choose to court bigoted value voters I can't sit by and say 'I don't have a choice. You'll get my vote.' Not any more. When Barack Obama chose to launch a tour that features a well known and prominent enemy of my civil rights, enough is enough. He lost my vote.

As usual, the Democrats are counting on the fact that gays have no real choice. We either vote for them (the effete and unprincipled liars) or the Republicans (the scary fundamentalists who want to usher in the final days). And they're totally right. We don't have a choice. No matter what Obama says or doesn't say, we're going to vote for him in droves because the alternative's even worse.

I read in The Philadelphia Inquire today of Obama's half hearted support for the repeal of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy. He said that he would ,"have to work through a step-by-step process with the military brass." He further stated that by going through this process we will have hopefully, "built a consensus or at least a clarity." Rights should never depend on the consensus of the majority. If this were the case, blacks would still be rideing in the back of the bus. Imagine if Senator Obama could be fired from being a Senator simply for displaying a framed photo of his wife on his Senate desk. I am both gay and a veteran of the Vietnam War. Obama's stance on this basic civil rights issue disturbs me greatly!!

Jon, you're a shining example of what's wrong with this country. You and your beloved Obama - all fluff, no substance. Now that he's trying to pretend he has some, you whine because he's not making you feel good. Get off the celebrity tit, and GROW UP!
You lost the only chance the Democrats had for a credible, qualified candidate when you abandoned Hillary and went panting after this wannabe. Well now you're stuck with him, and in a few months we'll all be stuck with the biggest farce in the White House since the first term of Dubya... either 4 more years of Republican stupidity and waste, or a political infant "full of sound and fury, yet signifying nothing." Either way, this election is exactly why I find it embarrassing to be an American.

Yeah, why isn't Barack doing something like that. Why are we reinventing the wheel or is that not who Barack is? Speak to the people. Do you care?

Come on, let's go.
