Vanasco: Calif. will decide marriage on Monday?
UPDATE: Karen Ocamb, from L.A. Frontiers, reports that the date was a mistake - that it was just a filler date for the permit to be issued, and that it was mistakenly sent out over email.
From Karen:
“I just got off the phone with Sgt. Lisa Turvey of the LAPD’s Special Event permit division and she said the email sent out about Monday, April 20 being the “Day of Decision” was “a mistake.” They put in a fictitious date in order to process the permit application and it was sent out in an email blast in error. She apologizes for all the confusion.
“There is no date for the California Supreme Court’s ruling on Prop 8 yet. The court generally issues rulings on Mondays and Thursday with a 24 hour notification. If the ruling would come down on a Monday, the public would be notified on Friday. You can sign up to be notified on the court’s website – http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/courts/supreme/

Queerty is reporting that California’s “Day of Decision,” when the California Supreme Court announces whether or not the state will overturn Proposition 8, may be Monday, April 20.
Queerty obtained a request for a permit from the gay organization Christopher Street West, which has not yet returned calls.
There hasn’t been an official announcement from the court – if the decision IS to come Monday, we should hear by 10 a.m. PST on Friday. So stay tuned.
In the meantime, here, courtesy of Queerty, is a copy of the permit:
