Vanasco: A question for readers going to the Equality March

By Jennifer Vanasco, editor in chief, 365gay.com 08.18.2009 12:53pm EDT

So, my partner Jenny and I are definitely going. How interested would you 365ers be in us all meeting up at some point in the day at a restaurant, bar, coffeeshop, etc?

I would love to meet you – whether you comment regularly or not – and it would give you a chance to meet each other, give me in-person feedback, etc.

What do you think? And, if you live in/near DC, where would you suggest we meet?

    • That sounds like a great idea! Hopefully it is not a bar so people under 21 can come!

    • My Husband and I will be going to the march. We will be traveling from califonria. We would be interested in meeting other 365 bloggers while in Washington. Just let us know time, place and we will be there.

    • I will be going alone, and would really like to meet some of you guys when I’m up there. I’m traveling from Florida on a bus. If you have any suggestions, I’d greatly appreciate them.

    • I would love the chance to meet you if logistics with friends can be worked out so I can go.

If you can drag along Ali Davis I would love the chance to meet her also.

    • Sounds great! I am still to find out if I can make it, but chances look good so I am looking forward to it.
Also, you can let me know if anybody is coming from NY or NJ. I will probably take the train to DC.

    • I like that plan Vanasco!

    • I’d love to meet. My roommate and I will be arriving the evening of the 6th; staying in the DuPont Circle area. I suggest Armand’s Chicago-Style Pizzaria (either the Wisconsin Ave. or Capitol-area one). BEST pizza in DC!

    • PS–The Wisconsin Ave. address has a MUCH more “real” feel; but the Capitol-area one is walking distance from Union Station subway stop. To my knowledge, both also accept reservations for groups.

    • My partner and I will be there. It would be great to meet up with fellow 365ers.

    • My partner and I made reservations for this march the very DAY it was announced! This will be our third such march in Washington. Our hotel is about 2 blocks from the White House and we expect to spend much time in Georgetown during our visit. We’d love to meet you over a beer or something! Just tell us when and where.

    • Hmmm, Armands is a good idea! Jenny is missing Chicago’s deep dish pizza….

Keep RSVPing here – when there’s a march schedule, we’ll make reservations and pick a time.

    • I love this idea. Live in the DC-metro area and am game for any type of gathering. Armands sounds great, too.

    • I’m not sure where the bus station is in the D.C. area, but if anybody knows where it is or could point me in the direction of where we would be meeting, from there, I would like to meet up. Never been to D.C. before.

    • I hope this is a kid friendly event because we will have our 3 young children (10, 8, & 6)with us. Anyone else bringing the kiddies?

  • Kevin Jordan Said: August 19th, 2009 at 9:36 pm
    • I will have my 2.5 year old- is there any kid friendly things going on at the march or is it all centered around the mall and JR’s?
